Improve your ball striking This is a very simple drill to help improve ball striking if you consistently hit it too much out of the heel or the toe of the club, or even the dreaded shank. All you have to do is put a tee in the ground like displayed in image 1 and 3. The tee needs to be placed on the outside of the club if you consistently hit it out of the heel or shank the ball. The tee needs to be on the inside of the club if you hit the ball consistently out of the toe. Then all you have to do is hit shots and avoid hitting the tee. In image 2 you can see that the bottom four face tape stickers were when the pupil was hitting the ball too much out the heel, which is why the tee has been put on the outside of the club. The top four stickers are when the drill was used, as you can see the ball strike started to be a lot more central. Give it a go and see how you get on. |
