It’s here: Masters week

Some of you may have already had your Augusta fix if you watched any of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur over the weekend, but the wait for the rest of us is now over.

The buzz around the club in recent weeks has been growing and you get a real sense that this year’s Masters is going to be like no other.

Will Rory complete the Grand Slam?
Will Tiger win his 15th Major?
Could Spieth regain his form at a course he loves?

With so many possible storylines catching our imagination, all that’s left is for you to keep your diaries free over the next few days to enjoy what promises to be one of the best Majors in recent years.

Coaching news

Junior Easter Camps

Junior Easter Camps are taking place on Thursday 18th April. The session will take place from 9am – 11am and will cover a variety of aspects of the game. The cost is £15 for one of the dates or £25 if you can make both. To sign up please speak to Pete in the Professional Shop.

Seniors Group Session

The next Seniors Group Session will take place on Thursday 9th May at 10am. This session will cover a variety of different short game shots and awkward lies around the greens. The cost for the session is £5 per person and the signup sheet is located in the Gents Changing Room.

Don't neglect your #3

A driver is a powerful beast, sometimes too powerful if a hole has a hazard within range. In this scenario, you have a plethero of options to choose from, but there is one that is often overlooked.

You're stood on a par-4 tee box and there’s a water hazard 240 yards away.

What do you do?

Many of you will reach for your longest iron on auto-pilot, however a custom-fitted fairway wood might just be the perfect solution; getting you further down the hole and closer to the green.
