Seniors group lesson

The next senior’s group session will take place on Thursday 29th August at 10am. This session will cover irons and driver and the cost for the session will be £5 per person.

Coaching sessions…

If you are looking to improve your golf game this summer, the best thing to do is to book lessons with your PGA Professional.

Lessons are available on all aspects of the game using video analysis to ensure you understand the changes that need to be made. To book a lesson please click here or speak to Mark or Peter in the Professional Shop.

Summer Junior Lessons

PGA Professional Peter Horner is putting on 2 Junior Lessons during the Summer Holidays. These sessions will be an hour long, focusing on different aspects of the game. The aim of the sessions will be to help introduce new juniors to the game of golf and help those already playing to progress. The cost for the lessons is £7.50 per hour.

The dates of the sessions are:

Thursday 22nd August 10am -11am
Tuesday 27th August 10am – 11am

No distractions

Variety is the spice of life

Whatever happened to having a ‘textbook’ swing? If you were to watch golf on TV you’d see all sorts of different swings that have propelled these golfers to the top of the world, and the same can be said on the greens too.

There's definitely no single approach when it comes to how you grip your putter. You have a more traditional no-fuss approach that is favoured by the likes of Tiger Woods; a left-below-right grip which is a recent craze made famous by Jordan Spieth's putting heroics; and then the opposite extreme in anchoring that has recently been banned by the R&A.
